A-League - season 2023

The men's A-League is Australia's highest level of football, the first division. It is played with 12 teams. This league is professionally managed like the MLS in the US.

There can currently be no relegation in the A-League, neither can promotion to it. From 2024 on, however, there would be a second tier where between those 2 tiers it would be possible to switch between the worst teams of the first league and best teams of the second league.
